overcoming depression

Depression is a silent thief, stealing a person’s sense of self. You might feel as if the best part of yourself is slipping away. Activities you once enjoyed now seem to require too much energy. This can lead to a downward spiral if you withdraw from social interactions and become lonely. You might feel a sense of hopelessness; this can manifest itself physically, mentally and emotionally, lasting for a few days or many months. The good news is, effective resources are available to help you overcome depression. Often, the hardest step is picking up the phone to seek professional help. As a therapist, I will work with you to assess and gain a new understanding of your condition. You will be empowered to use effective strategies to overcome depression and be strengthened.
